Hydrostatic transmissions give a lot of freedom to design engineers looking for solutions to effectively propel many different types of machines.

Hydraulic wheel drives brings a lot of value to a machine:

  • Engine/pump location is not constrained by the driveshaft
  • Torque can be balanced and applied at every wheel or drum
  • Higher ground clearance
  • Slope compensation
  • Complex steering geometry

As opposed to the mechanical driveline, which uses a differential device for speed difference in turns, the hydrostatic includes a differential by design.
